We’ve had a discussion at our DLDCS staff meeting about how we respond to requests for good practice in the LMS in a constructive way. We have decided on a small writing project with these principles. We have called the project #lmsflexibility which refers both to examples of flexibility shown in the use of the LMS but also flexibility about the idea of the LMS.
- Focus on small rather than overall examples of good practice.
- Don’t expect the LMS to solve everything
- Write about what we find to be positive or constructive.
Principles important to us in the College of Design and Social Context are: diversity, compatibility with other tools, semi-permeable boundaries, user experience design. We will use the #lmsflexibility to tie together the posts on this topic.
